Hello, I’m Tori!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Behavioral Specialist. My passion is helping others heal and make meaningful changes. Whatever is on your mind, I am here to listen. My priority is to provide a safe, comfortable space for you to release. I am a counselor who is authentic, open-minded and empathetic. I am here to listen as well as assist you in building up your toolbox to be at ease with past events and conquer current obstacles. It takes bravery and courage to ask for help. When you are ready, I would be honored to help you to align with your best self and live the life you want and deserve.
I earned my Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology at Millersville University. I have been a research enthusiast since 2010 and enjoy learning more about everything psychology and health related and staying up to date on the latest evidence based therapeutic interventions. My master’s thesis was on the use of a biofeedback-mindfulness program in children experiencing social/emotional disorders.
I have experience working with a wide variety of populations, backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses and cultures in the outpatient counseling setting. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and integrate a multicultural approach. I have experience in various diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, postpartum anxiety/depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, dissociative disorders, neurological developmental disorders (ADHD, autism, intellectual disabilities), personality disorders, eating disorders, addictions and more. I also provide support to those with concerns regarding grief, loss, trans-generational trauma, parenting, relationships, self-esteem, codependency, feelings of overwhelm, worry, stress, and career counseling.
My therapeutic style is a talk-therapy mix of client-centered, trauma-informed and cognitive behavioral. I utilize techniques from a variety of other therapeutic interventions as well including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, Attachment Theory, Biofeedback, Strengths-Based and Creative therapies (art, music, literature, forest). I find it empowering to emphasize strengths, capabilities and resiliency. I have training in mindfulness and enjoy co-creating guided meditations.
When I am not working, I am typically my toddler’s snack queen. I also enjoy reading, learning new things, nature, hiking, sight seeing, traveling, gardening, nutrition and yoga. I love the arts including music, painting, drawing, poetry and dance. I adore the time I get to spend with loved ones. I am eager to hear your story, wherever you may be on this journey called life.
