Hi, I’m Tara!
I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been in practice for 10 years. I like to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for people to share their story with me. I like to work with others to find their true potential in healing and in life. I believe that we have a lot more power to heal than we give ourselves credit for. I like to take a holistic approach in health and wellness. I enjoy listening to people’s stories and feel honored to be a part of their healing journey, whatever that may look like.
I specialize in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. I have worked with folks with depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, and trauma. I have taught and practiced mindfulness, and help others to learn about how to identify and manage emotions as well as how to manage relationships effectively. I provide feedback and skills to increase self esteem and self respect. I also provide a welcoming environment for individuals that identify as LGBTQA.
I graduated from Augsburg College, in Minnesota, with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have worked in various settings over the years including being a director of a residential program. I have worked in an outpatient therapy setting since 2010. I have a good sense of humor, I like to laugh and spend time with friends and family. Outside of work, I like to do yoga, go for walks, read, go camping, spend time outdoors and watch movies with my family.
