Tiana Kelly, LPC, NCC (she/her)
Hi, I’m Tiana!
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I employ various therapeutic techniques to help you feel heard, validated, and empowered to make healthy choices. I borrow from cognitive-behavioral, existential, trauma-focused, and prevention frameworks to provide compassionate and strengths-based care. By giving you a psychologically safe environment, it is my hope that we can work together to help you move forward through any life stressors and accomplish your personal goals.
When you are ready to make the courageous leap into counseling, I am here to assist with life transition issues, depression and anxiety symptoms, the 20-somethings experience, relationship and body image issues, maternal health promotion, as well as recovery from trauma. Working collaboratively, I will be your guide, but it is you who will serve as the expert on you!
About Me: I received my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have gained additional training in culture-centered disaster counseling, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-informed practices. I am experienced in working alongside survivors of trauma as well as individuals with anxiety and depression symptoms, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. In addition to my training in counseling, I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Prevention Science as well as a Certificate in Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy!
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my dog, exercising, reading, and writing! I prioritize my self-care because, in order to take care of you, I must take care of myself!
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”
