Lauren Shandler, LCSW (she/her)
Hi! My name is Lauren Shandler, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Master’s Degree from Temple University in 2012. I am trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and my focus is working with children, teenagers, and adults.
I have been working as a therapist for nine years and am excited to share my knowledge and enthusiasm. My approach to life is similar to my approach to therapy in that every person and situation is unique and therefore requires a variety of options. I pull from various interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and strength-based approaches.
I have found success in setting goals and seeking support from others to consistently stay motivated, which I model for my clients. When working with clients, I like to process and explore the interventions that will work for them. This may include games, books, and art activities. This allows the client to feel free to express themselves differently and make therapy fun.
I have successfully been providing telehealth therapy to clients. I am confident in my abilities to navigate the process with others and create and maintain connections with clients in a warm and inviting space.
When I’m not working, I usually spend time with my husband, family, and our dog. I love to bake and exercise. I can’t wait to hear about all your adventures.
