Jenny Clay, LPC (she/her)
Hi, I’m Jenny.
A little bit about me!
I got into this field because I am intrigued by human behavior. I am a person who enjoys observing a crowd of people. While I am a therapist, I am also part detective – helping you unravel and better understand your own thoughts and behaviors. I graduated from Cedar Crest College with my Bachelor’s in Psychology, and a minor in health and wellness. I completed my graduate work at Kutztown University where I focused on both systems theory (a fancy term for family dynamics) and transition-age youth (i.e. young adults). I have over 7 years of experience in the mental health field. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, baking, being outside, yoga, and reading.
I believe therapy is a space where you can share your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, or a life transition, we will work together to increase your self-awareness and build healthy coping practices. Maybe you need an unbiased ear to hear your story, skills to manage symptoms, or additional support. Let me walk with you during this challenging time. I don’t believe therapy is a “one size fits all” solution, but generally, I use cognitive-behavioral techniques which are proven to treat depression and anxiety. My goal is to build on, or highlight, the strengths you already have (because we all have them!). Ultimately, what matters most is that you feel comfortable in therapy, and you are willing and ready to talk about what’s on your mind. I’ll be here when you’re ready J
