Let’s be honest, life can be overwhelming when considering all that is demanded by work, school, family, relationships and often times our selves! I consider the privilege of working along side individuals and their families both greatly important and humbling. It is my hope for clients that as I join them in their personal journey towards discovering peace and contentment, I can offer support by helping them learn skills that work and empowering them to take action towards change.
Some common concerns that I can help to address include:
- Managing Anxiety and distress (social anxiety, distress caused by life transitions, codependency and relationships, OCD and other forms of anxiety)
- Addressing Depressed mood and Depression (due to experiences of loss/grief, feeling overwhelmed, under-functioning, patterns of avoidance and so on)
- Trauma and/or Mood Dysregulation (those who struggle with processing a traumatic event or struggle to manage unstable moods that interfere with work, school and relationships)
- Children and Adolescents (may include diagnoses such as ADHD, ODD and Anxiety among others)
My qualifications include a License in Professional Counseling, as well as a Masters of Science from Millersville University in Clinical Psychology. I received my Bachelors degree from Millersville University in Psychology and Fine Art. I also have specialized training in Trauma-focused therapies (including TEAM CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
When I’m not working I am likely traveling or exploring nature with my family, cooking or tracking down some delicious food, or cozied up by the fire watching a movie. I find happiness in the slow, simple moments!
I wholeheartedly believe we all deserve moments of joy, a sense of peace and to acknowledge the power we have to get the things we want! Let’s get to work!
