Jamie Rimby, LPC

Therapy Lancaster, PAHi, I’m Jamie!

Sometimes life puts us at a crossroads and we are left to decide how to proceed. Other times we might feel stuck, unsure of how to take the next steps on our life’s journey. My job provides such powerful meaning and satisfaction because I have the honor of being the knowledgeable and caring professional that accompanies people during these challenging times, working collaboratively to solve problems, build strengths, and achieve goals.

It is possible that almost anyone can blossom in an environment that provides understanding, support, and empathy. The foundation of my practice is a person-centered approach: always striving to understand your point of view, providing validation and taking a non-judgmental stance, all while being completely genuine. Over the years I have been humbled in my professional and personal life by the power of balance. As a clinician I have infused this concept into my work, providing the validating ear of a trusted confidant and the effective strategies and skills of an experienced therapist; helping you to accept and respect who you are while striving toward the goals you would like to achieve; meeting you where you are in your life right now, then walking with you to where you want to be.

If you would like to create an maintain healthy and rewarding relationships, go with the flow a bit better when you would otherwise feels stuck on an emotional rollercoaster, and experience more of the joys that your life has to offer, please contact me to begin our work together and help make your goals a reality. Whether you have a clear vision of your destination or are just looking to learn how to take a step forward, I am here to help.

A little bit more about me — I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania, as well as a National Certified Counselor. In 2011 I graduated from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA with a master’s degree in counseling psychology. I have been in practice for over six years, meeting with clients individually, as well as facilitating groups and providing educational programming.  Outside of the office I enjoy spending time on nature walks, trying cuisine from around the world, and making memories with my family and friends. I am owned by two adorable, albeit sometimes mischievous cats.
