I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and have worked in the field of mental health for nearly ten years. My passion for helping others started young and I have been lucky enough to work with people from all backgrounds and walks of life.
Your journey is unique, and my hope is to provide you with the support you need, whether by encouraging acceptance or promoting change. Your goals are my goals. Self-exploration is hard, and I can help you shoulder the burden by providing a non-judgmental, encouraging, and honest environment in which we can both learn and grow.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University, and have worked previously with inpatient substance abuse and dual diagnosis, residential programs, and outpatient therapy. I have experience with clients of all ages, socioeconomic statuses, genders, and ethnicities, though I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults, along with their families and partners.
My approach is typically very eclectic and individualized (there is no one else in the world exactly like you)! I am trained in Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Informed Therapy, and often incorporate aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Reality Therapy. My aim is to utilize inclusive interventions that have concrete skills I can provide you with to increase your confidence and help you realize that you’ve got this!
When I am not in the office, I spend time with my daughter, husband, dogs, and chickens. I enjoy exercising, gardening, cooking, and home projects. I am passionate about living a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle while also providing the space for indulging in the things I love. Animals and the outdoors are a wonderful stress reliever for me. I look forward to learning about the activities and interests you rely on to combat the crazy day-to-day that is life!
